When looking at my ginger cat, Alex, it\u2019s hard not to notice that he has remarkably long whiskers, particularly for a short-haired cat, and it made me wonder about some of the so-called \u2018rules\u2019 about whiskers. These are some of the claims made about whiskers, or as they are technically called, vibrissae:<\/p>\n
